Turkey can offer Europe its own gas

RT Haber: Turkey Can Offer Europe Its Gas from Black Sea Fields

After the discovery of several fields in the Black Sea, Turkey may offer European countries a gas alternative to the Russian fuel, the TV channel TRT Haber reports.

“The signing of an agreement between Turkey and Bulgaria on natural gas trade is a notable development for the EU and the Balkan countries. The renewed gas discovered by Ankara in the Black Sea and its powerful gas infrastructure may offer new alternatives for some European countries,” the channel’s RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that now Turkey’s position is “incomparably better than that of the EU member states” as it is able to supply gas from 15 countries through its terminals.
The EU has set a course to refuse Russian energy carriers after the start of the special operation in Ukraine.

Earlier, Radio Sputnik reported that Hungary did not want to give up Russian gas.
